Nugget of Wisdom

I found this while browsing my documents today, seems a while back I had a moment of clarity.
No matter how hard we attempt to process what we delve from our daily forays into our surroundings, in mind, body and spirit; in no capacity can we ascertain the gravity of what is truly set in motion.  Our entire world is but a microcosm in the seemingly mechanised activity of our surroundings, to deep to grasp but ironically pseudo-tangible enough to chase.

The Big Picture

Pain and frustration leave a giant hole in oneself.  Deep down in your marrow, and in your soul.  It feels like your inside had commited suicide, nothing left but a massive void... dead space, locked up with do not enter tape splayed everywhere.  Well fear not for there is a solution to that problem, and that is Jesus.  It isn`t easy, and you don`t automatically have a pain free and frustrationless life.  But rather its like having that painful giant hole in yourself, but it isn`t a void, its filled with the calm, radiating warmth of knowing that their is more to life, that everything will be allright in the end.  No matter what on earth happens to you, no matter how many times you`re kicked in the teeth or dragged through the mud, you can look forward to walking with Christ.

Frustration

When life hands you lemons, you're supposed to make lemon-aid.  But what about when life hands you lemons, then kicks you in the nuts?  There are always ups and downs in life, and at least you can't get any lower when you reach rock bottom... though at rock bottom you could still get kicked in the nuts.  To quote the rather horrible 80s hair band Poison from probably their only famous ballad,  the night is darkest before the dawn, so as I write this rather sad, sad, song(rant) I'm just wondering when that dawn will come.

#FAIL

Hey Jack, let me address you in some lingo you should understand,  your speech was a hashtag fail.  Congratulations, you got yourself a home at Stornoway and are the offical oppostion leader!  It however sounded last night like you both won the lottery and became Prime Minister in the course of a couple hours!  Enjoy your seats, but tread carefully.  For the people of Quebec that gave you 58 ridings are going to eat you alive when the realize as opposition leader you can't keep any of the promises you gave them and come to realize that Anglophones and College students (Including a 19 year old) make horrible MPs in Francophone Quebec.  You know what an orange wave turns into in a couple months?  Try an orange ripple.

Majority Blue!

Here comes the Orange wave!!!  Or is it L'OrangĂ© Wave? Because it stopped in Quebec.  The Canadian ridings spoke and we got a conservative majority.  Now we don't have to worry about voting for at least four years!! Sit back Canada and watch the magic.

It's That Time

Playoff hockey is here, and that means only one thing... several years knocked off my life expectancy due to stress.  I am not the only one, several people I know have the same disease I do, but lets say their's has progresed to the next stage.  Watching the game last night between two fellow sufferers of your-success-is-my-success-so-don't-screw-up-itis, was quite the show to anyone else who wasn't watching the TV (so no one,) but alas it is the best, and only way to watch!

A look into NHL operations

Wheel of morality turn, turn, turn, show us the lessons that we should learn.  That pretty much sums up the workings of Colin Campbell on NHL discipline.  Raffi Torres gets for games for a borderline call on Eberle.  Guess what?  Eberle played his next shift.  Kyle Clifford boards Chris Tanev head first into the corner boards and what does he get? Nothing!  Is Tanev playing? No!  Campbell has to go along with his arbitrary wheel spinning for dolling out punishment.

Prayer Answered

My Brother has been accepted to become an auxiliary fire fighter!  Which is an amazing answer to prayer!

Time to do our Citizenry Duty.....Again

Yay! Guess what Canada? It's election time... again!  Don't you just love those Liberals?  If they can't play, well then nobody can.  Hooray for spending more money on yet another needless election!  Here's hoping the Conservatives pick up twelve more seats so they have a majority. Then we can go back to the normal election every four-five years, not four in under seven, (That as well as not having to  listen to Ignatieff or Layton flap their gums).

Sickness+ No Sleep = Good Times

It felt like my head was going to explode last night, and tonight I get to take part in our Church's youth allnighter! I thank God for dayquil and red bull!  On the less serious side of things though, I'm dressing up eighties hair band.  I have snake skin pattern stretchy pants.  Yeah, I know pretty cool.

The Folly of Facebook

It doesn't take much to go from updating your status to having full on mud slinging fights with someone.  Working out your differences is a good thing, but doing it on Facebook infront of your 300 "friends", not so much.  Trying to bully your political views on other people, your "scientific" atheism, or your miscronstrued religion, (especially that latter, because you're not just damaging your reputation,) just turns people off of what you believe and hardens their hearts.  God is not punishing the Japanese.  It is not retribution for Pearl Harbour.  If people want to pray for Japan, let them.  If you are telling people to give money instead of prayers, give yourself, then post which group you donated money to so people can do the same.

Now enough of being Dave Pratt....end rant.

Seeds of Change

Everything is changing.  Spring is nearing.  Friends are getting new jobs.  The wife is at a new branch.  Our kitty is almost a cat.  I now attend a new University... and that's scary.  Not the friends getting jobs, or Wookie (cat) for that matter, but a new school.  I remember now how much I disliked changing schools as a kid.  Thank goodness I can be a co-pilot through life.  I know I couldn't do it on my own, I've tried.  Jesus is the best teacher ever, too bad he doesn't have a tenured position teaching history; that would be sweet.

New Beginnings

First off, I swore I would never ever blog.  But being as I have been out of school for a couple of semesters, I've been itching to get behind a keyboard.  The plus side is that nobody can grade my blog, and I can say what I want without fear from the liberal professors that stalk the halls of the local Universities.  Secondly, I have had so much change in my life over the last couple of months that a needed an outlet and my fingers can do what my mouth cannot. Lastly, Ubiquitous means Omnipresent, Universal, Pervasive, Everywhere.  More importantly there is indeed only one Being that can truly boast this attribute, that is Jesus Christ.
